We got a little time with Jeff Boerboon, Aerobatic Pilot during Oshkosh Last summer. Thanks to Rob for flying with us as well.

This January I had the privilege of traveling to Israel with Rick Larson, whom I filmed the The Star of Bethlehem with (http://vidano.com/work/star-of-bethlehem). He’s been up to “no good” again and asked me to direct a new project with him involving geophysical mysteries this time. (I can’t keep up with that guy.) Rick and a team of us were on the ground filming for 4 days.
It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and Jerusalem was completely socked-in. Just over the horizon I could hear the helicopter blades. I must admit I was a little hesitant. The day before we had filmed at the Dead Sea and today we planned on filming aerial footage of the coast and flood zones.
It goes with out saying; helicopters aren’t cheap. And I did not want this to be a wasted trip that produced flat, dark, cloudy landscapes.
As we took off and flew over Jerusalem the wind cut through the door-less Robinson R44 Raven helicopter. What emerged 15 minutes later was nothing short of breathtaking. Shafts of light rained down upon a desert wonderland. Dramatic. Dark aqua water. White salt encrusted coast lines. Deep flood eroded chasms.
Our expedition to the Dead Sea was unforgettable.
Shot on a Canon 7D at 60fps from a gyro-mount tripod.

A collection of some of my best moments from the past year or so. Clips from Summerfest 2011, Invasion 2012, UPT Flight Camp 2012, Mustang Beach’s Fall Fandango and the Eloy record camp to name a few. I have been lucky enough to travel and participate in so many great events. I hope everyone enjoys the video I had a blast putting this one together!
A balloon flight over Cappadocia in Turkey.
The film is shot mainly inside a balloon in the morning.
Filmed with a 7D and a sigma 30mm f1.4 for the most part. Also with a canon 85mm f1.8. Some shots were also filmed from the ground.
Please watch it in Hd with the music on !
In this second episode of the BackcountryPilot video series, we head out into the Nevada desert sidecountry with BCP members Blackrock, Maverick, and Cow Dog in their beautiful 235hp Bearhawks. We visit the site of Kevin Quinn’s High Desert fly-in, as well as a few other unspecified locations, and we spoof famous and beloved Ohio filmmaker/aviator Greg Swingle.
Caution for the tiny ears who may be watching: The term “cowshit” is used gratuitously. Only expose children to this soundtrack if you want them to repeat this word.
Caution for the elderly ears: Loud rock music is overdubbed at times. Have your mute button and nitroglycerin ready.
Caution for those easily susceptible to motion sickness: First person flying scenes may cause vomiting and/or erection.

An Icon, but not for Aviation.

Were it not for the magnificent performance of its central star, this could have easily been mistaken for a misbegotten sequel to The Princess Diaries. Hilariously, it certainly covers its historical topic with the same depth of that film.
Nicole Kidman inherits the role of Grace Kelly; an icon who history has determined as a modern personification of a fairy tale, for only few writers could have dreamed up her spectacular rise to prominence. Daughter of a triple Olympic-gold-medal-winning rower, she would later take Hollywood by storm by her performances in major motion pictures, most noticeably High Society, Rear Window and Dial M For Murder.
Her premature retirement from the limelight cut short her acting career. At aged just 26, she would enter into the royal house of Grimaldi through her…

Noi abbiamo ben presente dove l’ikebana è collocato…
